Foodbank Christmas Appeal

As suggested by Janet from our Sales department, Intelligent Retail has been collecting for the West Berks Foodbank this holiday season.

The West Berks Foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust and receives donations of food and money all year round to help relieve hunger in the local community. The pressures faced by families and individuals at this time of year can be particularly heightened and as such The West Berks Foodbank supplies essential emergency Christmas food parcels to those in need of support.

In November Intelligent Retail set up a large collection box in their Newbury office so that staff could make donations over the course of the month if they wished to. A whole host of food and other essential items were donated, as well as many festive particulars such as Christmas crackers and selection boxes. The total amount of donated goods weighed in at 37.5kg, or enough to support 34 meals for those in need at Christmas, a great effort by all the staff involved.
